Bursting forth from Fremont, California like a crazy geyser, Sid Uberoi
has spread his music all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Born into a musical
family, Sid was singing in his diapers. Listening to his first grade teacher
play the guitar in class further inspired Sid. Though he did not start playing
in earnest until age 12, Sid's love for the guitar was cemented in Mr. Rizzi's
class. Playing in bands in high school such as Sunrush and Blight, he honed
his songwriting skills, playing for schoolmates and local crowds. Throughout his
years at U.C. Berkeley, his band, Throebuckle, gained substantial and widespread
attention. Playing shows from San Jose to Berkeley and San Francisco, Sid and
Throebuckle sold several hundred copies of their CD. The band even impressed
independent filmmakers, who used some tracks in their movies.

When Throebuckle disbanded, Sid forged ahead alone. After a break from the
music scene, Sid has returned with renewed drive. Now, Sid is poised to
continue what Throebuckle started. With his new CD, "Falling Off the Earth,"
Sid displays the maturity of over a decade of songwriting, while maintaining
the emotion-drenched energy that has characterized Sid's style from the
beginning. This CD was recorded with noted producer, Myron Dove, well-known
in the industry for his bass playing with Carlos Santana, Dave Manniketi, as
well as Rick and Raj Parashar in Seattle.
Myron helped Sid create a CD that crackles and hums with energy. "Falling Off
the Earth" displays the uniqueness of Sid's sound almost as well as his live
shows. Sid's performances remind one of Jeff Buckley's raw, impassioned playing.
The audience can get sweaty from just watching Sid play. A Sid Uberoi concert is
recommended to cure the numbness of everyday life.
Sid Uberoi's music is influenced by his love of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Blind
Melon, Quicksand, and Tool among others. Listeners describe a sound that
harkens back to early Pearl Jam and early Stone Temple Pilots. The ultimate
effect is delicate melody mixing with explosive angst. His music is fresh and
distinct. His energy is remarkable. His focus is unwavering. He will command
your attention. And, he will not fail you.
